Why should I get a dental exam?

The American Dental Association recommends patients to get two cleanings a year.

• Exams allow the dentist to monitor small changes in your mouth that you might be able to detect. This can be crucial and life saving because dentists not only checks for teeth but soft and hard tissue in the oral cavity.
• May detect pathological problems like oral cancer.
• A lot of dental problems that patients might face are chronic, which means like things like diabetes or high blood pressure, might be without any signs or symptoms but can be detrimental if it is not controlled. 
• If problems are detected early, treatments are less invasive and more predictable.
